These are the top earners in Italy
Leonardo Bonucci ranks equal to an ex-team-mate in the ranking of Italy’s best paid footballers. They are far from being able to keep up with the top stars of the scene. Leonardo Bonucci (AC Milan) and Gonzalo Higuain (Juventus Turin) are the best paid footballers in the Italian Serie A. However, their salaries are significantly lower than those of superstars like Neymar (Paris St. Germain), Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), who are said to be earning around 30 million euros per season, and Bonucci and Higuain each receive 7.5 million euros per season according to a survey published on Thursday by the trade journal Gazzetta dello Sport, with Higuain’s attacking partner Paulo Dybala in third place with seven million euros. His team-mate Douglas Costa, who switched from the German record holder Bayern Munich to Juventus Turin in July, will receive six million euros per season, as will Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
