Will Red Bull put it on James Bond cars soon?
Team boss Christian Horner sparks speculation at the Singapore GP that Aston Martin could become the next engine partner of the “cops”.
After McLaren’s separation from Honda, the next beat of the drum in Formula 1 could begin.
It is generally expected that Red Bull will be using Honda engines from 2019 onwards.But now, speculations are on the increase that Aston Martin will be entering the Austrian team in the top division.
According rumors were fueled by Red Bull team boss Christian Horner on the fringes of the Singapore GP (race So.from 14 o’ clock in the LIVETICKER).
“We already have a relationship with an engine manufacturer,”he told the British radio station Sky Sports and added to the surprised reporters:”You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out.”
This variant is not that far-fetched indeed.Red Bull has long been working with Aston Martin in other areas.
The “Bullen” developed the model “Valkyrie”, a real bullet with 1000 hp and a top speed of 400 km/h, with the brand, which already provided some of their noble car bodies to the James Bond films.
“I think there will be another announcement pretty soon, and it won’t be Porsche,”Horner told the journalists in attendance about Aston Martin.
