Yelmer Buurman got off to a good start in the second race of the ADAC GT Masters at the Sachsenring, but his team mate Nicolai Sylvest was not able to crown the pole position with victory.In the last round he was overtaken by brand colleague Luca Stolz.
Already on Saturday, Buurman/Sylvest attracted attention with second place.After the qualifying and the pole position, it looked as if they would reach the top of the podium this time.In the end, Ludwig/Stolz could be celebrated.
Behind Ludwig/Stolz and Buurman/Sylvest another Mercedes-AMG crossed the finish line.Sebastian Asch and DTM star Edoardo Mortara won the bronze medal.
For the leader of the standings, Jules Gounon, however, it was a weekend of oblivion.After the Frenchman (129 points) was unable to collect any points on Saturday, he had to park his car on Sunday after a good half hour.
This enabled his rival Philipp Eng (109 points) to reduce his lead in the overall standings to 20 points.The exciting fight for the championship will therefore only be decided at the Hockenheimring.
Ludwig and Stolz improved with their triumph to fourth place (95 points each).
