Dunk-Contest: Nowitzki’s team mate demands experienced riders
At the NBA All-Star-Weekend the spectacular Dark-Contest will take place again this year. A team mate of superstar Dirk Nowitzki challenges the rest.
Great honour for Dennis Smith Jr.
The rookie of the Dallas Mavericks and team mate of Superstar Dirk Nowitzki will compete in the annual Dunk-Contest as part of the All-Star-Weekend.
The 20-year-old gets it on the 17th. I would like to mention two returnees, among other things. One is Victor Oladipo. The Indiana Pacers Guard is competing for the second time at the Dunk-Contest. In 2015 he came second behind Zach LaVine. Last year Oladipo won the Fan-Voting “Dunk of the Year”.
The second experienced player is Aaron Gordon. The Orlando Magic’s forward has already started for the third time.
The fourth participant is Larry Nance Jr. The Los Angeles Lakers forward has a very special connection to the Dunk contest. His father won the competition in 1984. Nance could be the first Lakers winner since Kobe Bryant’s triumph in 1997. In the arena in LA he has a home advantage.
