Philipp Kohlschreiber loses at the ATP tournament in Sofia against a Bosnian. In Montpellier, Dustin Brown is stopped by an injury.
Maximilian Marterer has reached the round of sixteen at the ATP tournament in the Bulgarian capital Sofia.
The 22-year-old won his opening match against the Tunisian Malek Jaziri 7:6 (7:4), 6:4 and will meet the Portuguese Joao Sousa in the next round.
Philipp Kohlschreiber, on the other hand, will have to wait for his first victory of the year.
Twenty-three days after his first-round win at the Australian Open, the Augsburg player lost his last sixteen against Mirza Basic (Bosnia-Herzegovina), who had eliminated Florian Mayer the previous day, 5:7,6:7 (5:7). In the first round of the tournament, which was endowed with 561.345 Euro, Kohlschreiber had a walk-through.

Meanwhile, Mischa Zverev had already failed in his first appearance at the Australian Open on Monday after his first appearance in the first-round match at Benoit Paire (France).
