Ex-Liverpool star to become Senegalese president
Former Liverpool star El Hadji Diouf is aiming for the presidency in his native Senegal. He was considered Bad Boy in the Premier League.
He was known as Bad Boy of the Premier League: El Hadji Diouf played for Liverpool, Sunderland, Blackburn, Bolton and Leeds, attracting attention everywhere.
He was convicted of driving without a driver’s license and for grievous bodily harm, had a lot of spit and made military desertion while playing at Blackburn.
And that bad boy is now striving for the office of president in his native Senegal.
“I want to be a soldier of young people,”said the 37-year-old to The Sun.”For many years I thought about football, but I have a new career – and it’s a political one.”
Diouf explained his ambitions and intentions:”There are people waiting for me to change things in my home country. I have great passions for politics. This is my future.”
Diouf ended his career in 2015.
