Wenger calls the English the new swallow kings
London – Arsene Wenger is a great learning success with English players – but not in a positive sense. The Arsenal coach is bothered by more and more swallows.
When the mean football fan hears the word “Swallow King”, he thinks first and foremost of which nation? Right, Italy. This has become so common over the years that there was enough evidence for this thesis.
If you believe the latest statements of Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger, the Italians have lost this reputation. In front of the London Derby between the Gunners and Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday (13.30 hrs at LIVETICKER) the coach said the English players were the new “champions of the Swallow Kings”.
And not without reason: Last weekend, three Spurs players were involved in (supposedly) Schwalben scenes in the match against FC Liverpool. Harry Kane and Dele Alli were at least two English national players.

Alli saw yellow from a swallow in a dramatic 2-2 draw at Anfield Road, and after alleged swallows by Kane and Erik Lamela, Tottenham was awarded two penalty kicks, at least one of which was transformed and led to the Spurs’ point win.
The highlights of the game Liverpool – Tottenham:
“The swallows have to get out of football. I remember monstrous scenes in which players who came from abroad made such a mistake. But I have to say that the English players learned from them very quickly. Maybe they are now the masters of the Swallow Kings,”Wenger said.
He personally does not encourage his players to afford a swallow in order to provoke an advantage.
