Gündogan blasphemes about the Bundesliga
Ilkay Gündogan of Manchester City can’t win much for the Bundesliga any more. The German national team, however, pays tribute to FC Bayern.
The former BVB star Ilkay Gündogan no longer finds the Bundesliga particularly attractive.
The Manchester City midfielder told the Swiss newspaper Blick:”In the Bundesliga, too little happens to me in the games. “Most teams are looking for security and avoiding mistakes instead of acting.”
Gündogan, on the other hand, enthuses about the advantages of the English league:”In the Premier League, on the other hand, there are many top teams that can become champions. The league is more even-tempered.”

Commenting on FC Bayern’s supremacy in Germany, the German international said:”Bavaria is simply Bayern Munich, a club that has stood for high quality for decades. It will be difficult for a club to overtake FC Bayern Bayern in the next few years.”
The fact that Bavaria is financially superior to all other clubs in Germany does not mean that Gündogan is the only argument for Munich’s dominance:”Having money is one thing. Investing it right, investing the other. And Bayern Munich has just invested very wisely in this area in recent years,”said the Bochum-born architect.
