Schröder leads Hawks to victory
After two last defeats, the Atlanta Hawks have returned to the road to success thanks to international Dennis Schröder in the NBA.
In the 118:115 victory against the Detroit Pistons Schröder was the best thrower of his team with 23 points. He contributed seven assists to the success.
Schröder showed nerves of steel and drowned all his six attempts from the free-throw line in the fiercely contested final phase – until then only three of his six attempts had been successful.
In addition to Schröder, the Center Dewayne Dedmon, which moved into the Starting Five, shone particularly brightly, scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds to double the score.
A good 90 seconds to go, Dedmon led the Hawks with a three-point game. Shortly afterwards, he followed suit with a threesome, which led to the ultimately decisive five-point lead for Atlanta.
The pistons had already been defeated for the second time in a row, having won five consecutive games after Superstar Blake Griffin’s arrival.
Despite the 18th century. With 39 victories and 39 defeats, Atlanta remains the worst team in the Eastern Conference. With 27 victories in 55 games, Detroit is ranked ninth, just outside the playoff ranks.
