Former English international Ryan Mason must end his career after a fractured skull. This was announced by the midfielder and his club Hull City on Tuesday in a joint statement.
“I can confirm that I have to quit my active career on medical advice,”it says:”I have worked tirelessly to return to the place, unfortunately there is no other option.”
A little over a year ago, 26-year-old Chelsea’s defender Gary Cahill hit the ball hard with his heads. The game then had to be interrupted for almost ten minutes and Mason had to undergo emergency surgery in the hospital. He hadn’t been on the court since then.
