Toronto Raptors are the first team to qualify for NBA playoffs. Against the Detroit pistons, a strong DeMar DeRozan makes everything clear.

The first team to qualify for the 2017/18 NBA season, coach Dwane Casey’s team qualified for the playoffs. After the narrow 121:119 win over the Detroit pistons, the Raptors can’t be pushed out of the playoff squares.

Superstar DeMar DeRozan played a decisive role in the success. With an incredible 42 points, the Shooting Guard led his team to victory, with a 114-114 draw between the two teams after the regular season. The overtime was just as close.
DeMar DeRozan scored the decisive throw 1.1 seconds before the end. With his pass on Fred VanVleet, he cleared the way for his team’s last and most important goal.
The pistons were not helped by a brilliant Blake Griffin in the end. The Power Forward put 31 points on the scoreboard and Reggie Bullock contributed another 21 points.
Already during the regular season the spectators were offered an exciting match. In the second quarter, the Pistons scored 18 points more than Toronto – with a 14-point lead, they went into the break. After the half time, however, things turned around.
In the third section, the Raptors scored 15 points more than their opponent. After a balanced last quarter the overtime had to decide. After the goal from Fred VanVleet 1.1 seconds to go, Blake Griffin failed with a threesome.

The Raptors are in first place at the Eastern Conference with a record of 47:17 and the Pistons are currently ranked ninth in the East with 29 victories and 36 defeats. In the next game, the fans can look forward to the absolute top duel in the NBA. With the Raptors and the Rockets, the leaders of the two conferences meet each other. The pistons must take on the Chicago Bulls.
