BMW shows its colours: Vehicle designs for the 2018 DTM season
New colours and tried-and-tested designs: BMW presents the vehicle designs for the 2018 DTM season – Partner Red Bull no longer on board the Munich team
At the DTM test drives in Vallelunga last week, BMW presented the first design for the 2018 DTM season and showed Marco Wittmann’s M4 DTM, which is no longer painted in the familiar Red Bull colours this year. The colour scheme of the other five vehicles of the Munich team has now been finalised. As different as they look, the six BMWs have one thing in common: the overall elements of the new BMW M Motorsport design catch the eye in all designs.
Bruno Spengler will compete as usual in a matt black car. Augusto Farfus will also be launched in the unchanged red-yellow shell design. There is also no change in “postman” Timo Glock. He will continue to hunt for points with his “yellow beast” and Deutsche Post as the main sponsor.
BMW DTM newcomer Philipp Eng takes over Maxime Martin’s paint job and enters his first season in the German touring car series in the blue and white BMW. The DTM-Rookie Joel Eriksson vehicle is available in grey, white and purple and carries the logo of the sports goods manufacturer Puma.
