Aubameyang mourns BVB times behind
Ex-BVB striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be allowed to play in the UEFA Europa League following his departure from FC Arsenal. The Gabonese is frustrated.
At the end of January, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had forced Borussia Dortmund to switch to the English top club FC Arsenal with various escapades. But less than two months later, the ex-scorer king of the Bundesliga regrets his departure.
The Gabonese is not eligible for the UEFA Europa League (Salzburg – BVB from 7 p. m. LIVE on TV on SPORT1) for the Gunners, as his former club is competing in the same competition “I am really frustrated, because the rules are a bit…. I’m disappointed because I can’t help my team,”says Aubameyang English media:”That’s life. I have to deal with that.”
Even the fact that Aubameyang now has a different playing rhythm than at Dortmund times makes the striker uncomfortable “I can’t play every three days. When I was in Dortmund, I was on duty every three days, but now I play only once a week or have a long break between games. It’s not easy,”complains the extravagant goalscorer.
For Aubameyang, the Premier League is not yet running smoothly in London. In five matches for Mesut Özil’s team, he scored three times, but also had a very weak appearance against front runner Manchester City, including a missed penalty kick.
On the last matchday he scored a goal and scored against FC Watford.

“It was a bit difficult at the beginning,”the former Dortmund man describes his first time in the Arsenal jersey,”but I feel better now. I didn’t play much in January, so it was hard to find the rhythm. It’s going better now, I work hard, I’ve done a lot of things over the last few weeks.”
Aubameyang will definitely have enough breaks for regeneration in the next few weeks to present itself permanently in top form.
