Spanish duo push Chelsea into the semi-finals
Chelsea FC follows ManUnited, Tottenham and Southampton to the semi-finals of the FA Cup. The goals to the victory after extra time at Leicester are scored by Morata and Pedro.
Chelsea FC qualified for the FA Cup semi-finals with a 2-1 win after extra time at Leicester City (DATENCENTER: FA Cup).
The Blues were led by Spain’s Alvaro Morata (42nd), Jamie Vardy (76th) forced the extra time in which Morata’s compatriot Pedro (105th) made the decision.
Before that, Southampton FC also won their semi-final ticket 2-0 (0-0) against third division club Wigan Athletic. Former Munich-based Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg (62nd) and Cedric Soares (90.+1) scored for Southampton.
On Saturday, record champion Manchester United had already saved the chance to win the cup in England by beating Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 (0-0). The Premier League runners-up, 16 points behind leaders ManCity in the league, won with goals from Romelu Lukaku (37th) and Nemanja Matic (83rd).
Tottenham Hotspur also entered the last four. The goals in the 3-0 win over Swansea City were scored by Christian Eriksen (11-62) and Erik Lamela (45-1).
