CL-Quali: Salzburg with one leg further on
Austria’s champions have no problems in the Champions League qualification with a team from Malta and clearly win. However, the way to the group stage is long. Salzburg have avoided another embarrassment in the qualification for the Champions League and are now in their third qualifying round, with Hibernians FC from Malta having won 3-0 (2-0) and the return match next week. However, two more rounds will be waiting for the longed-for participation in the royal class group stage (Champions League: All results of the qualification) Salzburg is already making its tenth attempt this season to qualify for the group stage. The club’s successes have already been met by representatives from Luxembourg and Sweden, including Valon Berisha (32nd, penalty kick), Hee-Chan Hwang (35th) and Takumi Minamino (54th) for the new German coach Marco Rose. Berisha flew off the pitch (86th) with two Germans in the starting eleventh place with goalkeeper Alexander Walke and Reinhold Yabo, Marc Rzatkowski in the final phase for Yabo and TSG Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga. FC Bayern, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are qualified for the group stage.
