The previous year’s winner only started the first race of the 2017 Playoffs from third place.The qualifying was dominated by competitor Kyle Busch, who was still in the lead after 80 laps.
Truex Jr.had to cope with a drive-through penalty, which even dropped him out of the top 10.When he also had to deal with loose wheel nuts on his car, the race seemed to be almost over for the 37-year-old.
The winner of the qualifying event lost a wheel, had to go into the pit lane and was also given a hefty penalty.While he fell far behind without a chance, Truex Jr.his crazy race to catch up.
A lot of turbulence on the track washed the later winner forward, once in front Truex built Jr.but then his advantage is continuously coming out.In the end, he was the first to see the chequered flag with a calming five-second advantage and celebrated the twelfth victory of his career.
