The 16-year-old Pietro Pellegri shot himself into the limelight with two goals on Sunday.
The CFC Genoa striker scored a brace against Lazio Rome (2-3) within 17 minutes, making him the first player in Italy to be born in 2001.
However, Genoa’s pleasure in his prodigy could be short-lived: as the Gazzetta dello Sport reports, the 16-year-old has already reached an agreement with AC Milan on a change in January 2018.
However, according to Sun, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United is also said to have noticed the youngster.
The 1.91 metre tall attacker is still under contract in Genoa until 2019 and is the son of Genoa manager Marco Pellegri.
