Valentino Rossi got back on the bike only 18 days after his shin and fibula fracture and is working on a lightning comeback in the World Championship.
The Italian MotoGP superstar completed test laps on a Yamaha YZF-R1M in Misano on Monday.On Wednesday evening, it will be decided whether Rossi (38) will compete this weekend at the Aragonese Grand Prix.
Originally, it was planned that “Doctor” Rossi in Spain would be replaced by the Dutch superbike driver Michael van der Mark.Now the World Cup fourth could return faster than expected.Nine-time world champion Rossi had been injured in motocross training at the end of August and had been operated on hours later.
“I’m sorry about the incident.Now I want to get back on my bike as soon as possible.I’ll do my best to do that,”Rossi said after the procedure.The Yamaha factory rider has only missed the San Marino Grand Prix at the Marco Simoncelli World Circuit in Misano due to injury.
