Boyle has to take bad news
The New Jersey Devils striker has leukaemia.Despite the bad news, Boyle remains optimistic and reminds us of his father’s healing.
Striker Brian Boyle of the New Jersey Devils in the professional ice hockey league NHL is suffering from leukaemia.This was announced by the 32-year-old’s new club.
The diagnosis was made during a blood test as part of the medical check-up at the training camp.
“We have a good plan to fight the disease and I look forward to playing again,”said Boyle, who has been in the NHL since 2007 for Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Toronto Maple Leafs.
In 624 games the center scored 169 points (93 goals, 76 submissions).
Boyle remains optimistic despite the bad news.His father Artie had been diagnosed with kidney cancer in 1999, which spread into his lungs.
One week after a visit to the shrine of Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina, there was no evidence of cancer.
“Prayers can move mountains.I am delighted with every support,”said Brian Boyle.The striker had to leave the country on 1.The agreement was signed with the Devils for two years on July 1,2007.
