Expensive tickets for Bayern fans: Anderlecht faces penalty
In November, Bayern fans had to dig deep into their pockets for the tour at the RSC Anderlecht. UEFA is now investigating against the Belgian club.
FC Bayern Munich’s guest appearance in the Champions League meant that the RSC Anderlecht demanded luscious prizes for the guest fans – this could cost the Belgian club a lot of money.
The European Football Union (UEFA) opened an investigation on Thursday into a possible violation of the ticketing guidelines. The UEFA Commission on Ethics will discuss the matter on 2 May. February with the case.
Anderlecht originally charged 100 euros per ticket for the match in November. The Bayern supported their away-fans financially, so that a ticket cost 70 euros and many Bavarian fans had not yet travelled to Belgium.
During the match, the protest of the Bayern supporters continued: In the early stages of the game, there was a small poster with the inscription “100 €?”and a few days later some Bayern supporters threw bundles of paper money on the playing field.
For the misconduct of his fans, the record champion was fined 20,000 euros by UEFA in December.
