Next setback for Höwedes at Juve
Benedikt Höwedes simply doesn’t get on his feet with Juventus Turin. Nominated for the Champions League, Höwedes is experiencing the next disappointment.
Another damper for Juve defender Benedikt Höwedes.
The 29-year-old was not nominated for the Champions League squad of the Italian champions. Due to the “local player rule”, the Old Lady was only allowed to nominate 23 players from the 24-strong line-up.
Höwedes, who was the first player to play for the Turin team because of injuries, was eliminated from the squad. The central defender, who has been hired out from Schalke to Italy until the end of the season, is currently working on a torn muscle fibre.
