“Illegal!” Oliseh raises serious charges against ex-club
After the dismissal of former BVB star Sunday Oliseh at Dutch club Fortuna Sittard, a real mud-struggle has started.
Olympic champion Sunday Oliseh was fired as a coach at Fortuna Sittard and, after being thrown out, drove up heavy artillery against the Dutch second-league team.
“What goes on outside the sports field in Sittard is illegal. I don’t want anything to do with this illegal business. I don’t want to go to jail after all. There are dubious people at work. I’ve already been to my lawyer and the police. I don’t want to say more at the moment about this topic”, said the former professional of Borussia Dortmund, the 1. FC Köln and VfL Bochum in conversation with RevierSport.
Sittard had accused Oliseh, who won the Olympic gold medal in Atlanta in 1996 with Nigeria’s national team, of “unreasonable behaviour” in a press release. Oliseh is said to have behaved badly towards team members and employees of the club.
The 43-year-old, who had taken over the team in January 2017, is against these accusations.
