Görges back in training after hip injury
Good news for all fans of Julia Görges: The 29-year-old is training again after her hip injury and will participate in the tournament in Indian Wells at the beginning of March.
Julia Görges has cured her hip injury suffered in mid-February and will return to the WTA tour at Indian Wells in California in early March.
The 29-year-old from Bad Oldesloe, who had made her way into the top 10 for the first time at the beginning of February and is currently number 12, announced on Wednesday via Twitter:”I’m training again, my hip has healed up. I can prepare for my trip to the United States now.”
The tournament calendar of Julia Görges shows the tournaments in Miami (from 20. March) and Charleston (from 2. April).
The highlight in April will be the Fed Cup home game on 21-22 April. Together with the former world number one Angelique Kerber (Kiel) she will meet the eight-time winner Czech Republic with top players Karolina Pliskova (No. 5) and Petra Kvitova (No. 9) in the semi-finals.
