Mahrez announces career end in suspicious mail
Riyad Mahrez provides a surprising message: on his Facebook page, the Leicester professional announces that he wants to say goodbye to football.
Riyad Mahrez, the former strike professional from Leicester City, has announced his career end in a suspicious Facebook post.
On his official site, the 27-year-old published a message on Wednesday night saying:”After the last consultation with many doctors, I decided to stay away from football.”
The message continues:”Since my time as a footballer is coming to an end, I want to say a few words. I want to thank everyone for the kindness and support they have shown me in this incredible city. You will always be in my heart.”
The authenticity of the mail is highly questionable and nothing is known about the Algerian’s health problems. The wing player had argued with his club in the winter because he was denied a change to Manchester City.
However, his interim strike has now ended and he has returned to the Premier League on three occasions, and it is possible that the Leicester professional has been hacked.
