The Seattle Seahawks part with Richard Sherman, a long-time high-flyer. This confirms the dismissal on US-American radio.
Drumbeat in the NFL!
The Seattle Seahawks break up with star player Richard Sherman. The club informed the Cornerback on Friday that, despite a contract for the coming season, they will not be able to continue.
Sherman (29) had won the Super Bowl with the Seahawks 2014.
Sherman, who would have earned about 13 million dollars in the new NFL season, confirmed the separation of KIRO-FM radio station. At the beginning of November, the four-time pro-bowler from California suffered an Achilles tendon tear and had failed for the rest of the season.
The Californian has only played for Seattle since his debut in the 2011/12 season. Sherman was part of the Legion of Boom, a notorious defensive quartet.
The Seahawks had only allowed eight points (43-8) to win the title against Denver Broncos four years ago.
