Warriors anxious about injured curry
The Golden State Warriors celebrate a victory in their top game against the Spurs. Superstar Steph Curry is injured at the start of the match and has to leave.
Scare news for the Golden State Warriors.
The Californian Oakland side may have to miss out on Superstar Steph Curry for longer in the final spurt of the regular season. In his 110:107 home win in the top game against San Antonio Spurs, the 29-year-old already injured his ankle again in the third minute of a basketball match.
Visibly in pain, the Point Guard, who could only limp, tried to return to the game, but was then led into the cabin.

The Warriors have not yet published a precise diagnosis. In December, the 29-year-old also injured his ankle in the game against the New Orleans Pelicans and had to miss a few matches. Curry also had to struggle with ankle problems at the beginning of his career.
Despite the loss of Steph Curry, the Warriors played well in the first quarter. Headcoach Gregg Popovich’s team took over the helm at the start of the second leg. The Spurs were already in the lead at the halfway point and then further increased their lead in the third quarter.
In the last section, however, Kevin Durant’s hour beat. Just over two minutes before the time was up, the Small Forward equalled. Afterwards the Warriors could not take the victory.

With a total of 37 points, eleven rebounds and four assists he played a double-double. His team mate Draymond Green even managed a triple double with eleven points, twelve rebounds and ten assists.
In the Spurs, Power Forward LaMarcus Aldridge played with 30 points, 17 rebounds and four assists.
For the Warriors, it was their seventh consecutive victory. With a record of 51:14, Golden State ranks second in the West behind the Houston Rockets. The Spurs are ranked fifth three places behind.
