Bayreuth makes German quarter-final duel clear

The basketball Bundesliga clubs medi Bayreuth and MHP Giant Ludwigsburg meet in the Champions League in the quarter-finals.
BBL fourth-placed Bayreuth came out on top with a surprising 84-84-84 (37-39) win in the second leg of Turkey’s runners-up Besiktas Istanbul. The Franken had won the first game 81:76.
Ludwigsburg eliminated runner-up EWE Baskets Oldenburg in the German duel. After the 88:63 in the first leg, the third division could afford a 74:86 (48:46) home defeat.
The best Bayreuth thrower was the American Gabe York, who pocketed five threesomes and scored a total of 17 points.
Adika Peter-McNeilly collected 18 points for Ludwigsburg and Rickey Paulding 17 points for Oldenburg.
