In Flamengo, Vinicius Junior is attacking together with Diego, who has already played for VfL Wolfsburg, Werder Bremen and Juventus Turin, among others. Other familiar faces from the German Bundesliga – such as former Hoffenheim player Carlos Eduardo, now starter Parana Clube, ex-Leverkusener Juan or former Bavarian and HSV star Paolo Guerrero, both of whom are now also under contract with Flamengo – are also active in Brazil’s top league. The Campeonato Brasileiro has always been a treasure trove for the talented scouts of the big European clubs: For example, the up-and-coming midfielder Arthur from Grêmio Porto Alegre is currently associated with FC Barcelona.
