Sharks defeat Ice Tigers confidently
The Cologne sharks defeat the Nuremberg Ice Tigers in their first playoff game and lead in the best-of-seven mode with 1:0. Two Olympic heroes are stabbing.
The Cologne sharks beat the Nuremberg Ice Tigers 3:1 in the first game of the 2017/18 DEL playoffs away from home – and deserved it.
The sharks proved to be more biting and triumphed in the decisive scenes.
For example, the German Olympic Olympic hero Felix Schütz scored the lead (02:38) early in the first period, which Nichlas Torp equalised for Nuremberg (09:15).
Cologne, however, proved to be unimpressed and met at the end of the first period for 2:1. The goalscorer was again an Olympic hero: Christian Ehrhoff by far shot (19:46).
In the second period the sharks presented themselves as stronger again and came through a counter goal of Sebastian Uvira to the 3:1 (29:31).
In the last third the Ice Tigers tried hard in front of their home crowd, but they didn’t achieve anything decisive. When they pulled out the goalkeeper, Schütz hit again and thus to the 4:1 final result.
On the 15th. The second game will take place in Cologne on March 6th.
