Bayern Munich meets FC Sevilla
FC Bayern will play FC Sevilla in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. On the island there is a duel between Jürgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola.
In the quarter-finals of the Champions League, the German record champion Bayern Munich will face the Spanish representative FC Sevilla. This was the result of the draw on Friday afternoon in the Swiss town of Nyon.
The games in the round of the last eight will take place on 3/4 May. and 10-11. April, the Bavarians compete first in Andalusia.
“My in-laws live in Seville, I’m looking forward to the game, it will be very interesting. It’s not an easy team. It’s good to get ahead against Manchester United,” said Bavarian sports director Hasan Salihamidzic, who took the draw with a smile.
Seville, five-time winners of the UEFA Cup and the Europa League (most recently in 2016), had eliminated record English champions Manchester United in the round of 16 and won at Old Trafford (0-0, 2-1):”Of course we want to make it to the semi-finals, that’s for sure,” Salihamidzic added.
Juventus Turin meets defending champion Real Madrid with world footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi are in duel with AS Rom. Jürgen Klopp’s FC Liverpool will meet Pep Guardiolas Manchester City in the English “Derby”.
The semi-final will be held on 24/25 March. April and 1/2. May, the final will take place on 26. May in Kiev.
