Ibrahimovic and Mourinho?
The trenches at Manchester United seem to be getting deeper and deeper. Now also Jose Mourinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are supposed to be at loggerheads – claims Adrian Mutu.
Manchester United are currently on the brink of a boom: out of the Champions League, many players out of shape, coaches under criticism, who allegedly also has a fight with the club bosses.
But apparently there is another source of the fire. Jose Mourinho is said to have had a fight with superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic. That’s what Adrian Mutu, former Romanian international and Chelsea player, says.
The dispute with Mourinho is also the real reason why Ibrahimovic has not been used for months. Officially, the Swede is still behind in training after a knee injury.
“Mourinho doesn’t care about performance, only about the result. I have the information that Ibrahimovic is not injured, he just doesn’t get along with Mourinho at the moment,” Mutu Telekom Sport Romania reported.
The 39-year-old himself had a quarrel with the Portuguese coach during his time at Chelsea FC. He was released from the Blues in 2004 after failing a drug test.
Ibrahimovic played his last game in the Premier League at the end of December. Since then, he’s been missing from the Red Devils squad.
