Losing Cavs – LeBron goes for Coach
The Cleveland Cavaliers crisis continues. LeBron James shines and shows the dunk of the year. But the superstar clashes with his coach.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are still in a crisis – and not only on, but apparently also off the court.
LeBron James and Cavs coach Tyronn Lue clashed in the Portland Trail Blazers’ 105-113 defeat against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
It is not yet known why Lue and James, who was sitting on the bench at the time, shouted at each other. However, the Cavaliers’ weak defense, which again allowed over 100 points, was presumably overtaken once again.
James defended himself against defeat to the best of his ability and scored 35 points and ten rebounds to create a double-double – the 600. of his career, which only five active players were able to do next to him.
The four-time MVP also provided the scene of the game when he unpacked a monster dunk over Portland’s centre Jusuf Nurkic in the first quarter.
But at the end of the day, the Cavaliers lost their fifth game in the last eight games and are now on the verge of losing their home advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
The Cavaliers are still in fourth place, but the fifth-placed Washington Wizards are only one more defeated than the NBA finalist of the past three years.
The Trail Blazers remain the team of the hour thanks to CJ McCollum (29 points) and Damian Lillard (24 points and nine assists). Portland have already celebrated their eleventh consecutive victory, which is currently the longest series in the NBA.
In the strong Western Conference, the Portland Trail Blazers are in third place behind the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors.
