World number one Roger Federer (Switzerland) has reached the final of the ATP Masters in Indian Wells.
The record Grand Slam champion defeated the Croatian Borna Coric 5:7, 6:4, 6:4 in the semifinal round and celebrated a new career record.

In the final on Sunday Federer will face Juan Martin del Potro (Argentina/No. 6) or Milos Raonic (Canada/No. 32).
Against his 15 year younger opponent, who reached the semi-finals of a master for the first time in a $7.972 million hard court tournament, Federer turned his first match point after 2:20 hours. Federer has his sights set on the third tournament victory of the year after his Australian Open triumph and success in Rotterdam.
Philipp Kohlschreiber (Augsburg/No. 31) was the last German to retire from the quarter-finals in California on Friday after losing three sets to del Potro.
