UBMC beat Virginia Cavaliers 74:54 in the first round of the knockout phase of the US college spectacle (All March Madness results).
“This is one of those moments you dream about,” said Jairus Lyles, who with 28 points was by far the best pitcher in the game:”It’s always exciting to write history.
In the Retrievers’ cabin, the exstasis knew no bounds: “All brackets have been destroyed! There are no more perfect brackets,” cried the winners according to ESPN.
Virginia had entered the playoffs as the best team of all with a score of 31-2. But against UMBC no herb had grown. The way the outsider rolled over the Cavaliers was spectacular.
Previously, the NCAA Tournament was 135-0 for the number one seeded teams.
