Nowitzki continues his career “as good as safe
Dirk Nowitzki speaks again about his future. This time his statements sound clear:”Nothing stands in the way of another NBA season.
The Dallas Mavericks can build another season on Dirk Nowitzki. The German superstar is unlikely to end his career after the current season.
“It is almost certain that I will continue if nothing happens in the last games. If the body participates, I want to be there again next year,” Nowitzki told Bild am Sonntag.

So far, the 39-year-old had kept the option open to play his last NBA game in April and finish his career.
Talks with former sports greats such as Steve Nash, Michael Finley and Mike Modano have led him, according to his own statement, to go on for another year:”I talked to them about the end of your career and they all say:’Do it as long as you can. So I expect to be there next year,” Nowitzki explained.
The player with the fifth most matches in NBA history had finished in the best basketball league in 1999. Meanwhile it belongs to the greatest legends.
In 2011 Nowitzki won the title with Dallas. In the current season, however, the Mavericks have no chance in the fight for the playoffs.
