National ice hockey player Tobias Rieder celebrated an important victory with the Los Angeles Kings in the fight for play-off participation in the North American professional league NHL.
The Californians won 4-3 after extra time in the Minnesota Wild and climbed to third place in the Pacific Division. The best three teams of each division qualify directly for the championship round.
Dustin Brown saved the Kings 47 seconds from the final siren into extra time, with Jeff Carter scoring his second goal of the match after 4’26”. Rieder, who changed from the Arizona Coyotes to the Stanley Cup winner of 2012 and 2014 at the end of February, was on the ice for almost 16 minutes (schedule and results of the NHL).
