Advertising partners show humour: Second flip-flop manufacturer for Formula 1
Once again an advertising partner at the Formula 1 shows humor. Force India was the second team to announce cooperation with a flip-flop manufacturer on Friday.
Formula 1 capitalizes on the unloved Halo. Force India announced on Friday as the second team of the motorsport royal class the cooperation with a flip-flop manufacturer.
The Brazilian slipper manufacturer Havaianas will advertise “at selected races” with its lettering on the cockpit protection of the cars of Sergio Perez (Mexico) and Esteban Ocon (France).
A few days earlier McLaren had made a similar deal with the British flip-flop manufacturer Gandys. This is used by two of the ten Formula 1 teams to advertise a flip-flop manufacturer’s logo on the halo at the start of the season in Melbourne on Sunday (7.10 a.m. in the LIVETICKER).
The advertising trend is a little strange, because the “halo” made of titanium is mocked by critical fans as a flip flop. The round bow resembles the slanted strap of the airy flaps, the middle bar resembles the so-called toe bar.
