Italy honours deceased Astori on jerseys
Italy’s national team pays tribute to the Davide Astori died in the Soiuel against Argentina with a special jersey.
The four-time World Champion Italy will be running on Friday in honour of the team that won the World Cup on 4 May. The national player Davide Astori, who passed away on March, is wearing a special jersey. Under the coat of arms with the four stars, the words “Davide sempre con noi” (“Davide always with us”) are written in golden letters on the chest. In addition, the players will compete in the test against Argentina with trauerflor.
There will also be a minute’s silence before the match in Manchester. The jersey with the number 13, the shirt number Astoris, was not assigned.
Astori, captain of first division club AC Florence, was found dead in his hotel room in Udine. According to the autopsy, he died of a cardiac arrest.
