Too late: Trouble about BVB jewel Sancho
Jadon Sancho was supposed to be in the English U19 against Latvia on Saturday. But then the BVB youngster annoys his coach.
On Sunday Jadon Sancho turned 18. A reason to celebrate, actually. But the young professional from Borussia Dortmund was certainly not in a party mood.
As the English Sun reports, a lack of discipline cost the young kicker an appearance in the English U19 national team. According to the newspaper, Sancho and his team-mate Phil Foden from Manchester City arrived too late for the team meeting before Saturday’s match against Latvia (3-0).
Coach Paul Simpson reacted immediately and struck both players off the starting line for the European Championship qualifying match. However, next Tuesday in the match against Macedonia the English coach wants to fall back on his two young stars.
Sancho had turned down a professional contract with Manchester City in the summer of 2017 and moved to BVB, where he signed until 2020.
