The Sixers fans celebrated their player and 20,000 fans enthusiastically shouted “Fultz! Fultz! Fultz,” even though Fultz himself first thought that the calls were not meant for him.
“I thought she was my Nick Foles,” said Fultz, alluding to the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl MVP.
His coach Brett Brown also praised his marksman: “He looked confident. It worked hard for his return.”
Top scorers on the Philadelphia side were Joel Embiid and Dario Saric. In addition, playmaker Ben Simmons shone with seven points, 13 rebounds and eleven assists.
On the Denver side, Will Barton was particularly convincing with 25 points. Denvers star Nikola Jokic scored 14 points, but only scored four of his 14 attempts from the field.
