Raul’s coaching career begins at Real
After an active career at Real Madrid, FC Schalke, Al-Sadd and New York Cosmos, Raul has worked as an assistant to management under general manager Jose Angel Sanchez.
The now 41-year-old headed the first unit at Reals U 15 on Thursday, after he had acquired his football teacher’s licence in the summer. The Champions League winner released photos of the first unit directed by the 103-time Spanish international on Thursday. Raul’s coaching team is completed by assistant Diego Nogales and fitness coach Christian Hernando.
After 16 years (and 323 goals) with the Royal League, Raul was introduced as King Transfer at FC Schalke in summer 2010. In two years in Gelsenkirchen, the Spaniard contributed 40 goals and 21 templates in 98 compulsory matches.
