The NASCAR community has been extensively discussing the potential departure of JGR after the veteran’s absence from the Xfinity Series grid. However, the rumors were debunked when it was reported that the former SHR driver was serving an internal suspension and will make a comeback in the Indy Xfinity race next month.
He was suspended due to a physical altercation involving a 23XI Racing driver during a regular competition meeting of JGR and 23XI drivers. The incident took place a month ago before the Charllotte race weekend, and as a result of the suspension, Almirola, who was found to be the instigator by JGR, was replaced for that week’s race.

Prior to this weekend’s race in Nashville, Wallace was asked about the clash and suspension. He declined to divulge any specifics and stated that the incident occurred last month and he has already moved on. Wallace also took a jab at Almirola, stating that he is not speaking much about the topic because he does not want to tarnish someone else’s reputation.
When further discussing the topic, he emphasized that his current focus is on his cup outings and his family. He is not concerned about off-track incidents that do not bode well for him. Wallace made it clear that he will not be commenting extensively on the matter.
The frenzy in the community regarding the suspension stems from the tumultuous history between the two. They have had multiple fights and exchanges of words on the track, and with Almirola being suspended, it appears that this was the most significant incident of them all. Fans are eagerly awaiting Almirola’s perspective on the story.
