When asked about Perez’s difficulties after qualifying in Austria, Horner had the following to say. The driver, who has won six Grand Prix races, has been with the Milton-Keynes-based team since 2021. Perez has consistently been second-best and his 2024 season has only worsened. Horner does not deny that the Mexican driver is under immense pressure. While acknowledging Perez’s struggles against Max Verstappen, Horner also remains hopeful. He believes that the Mexican driver will overcome his troubles, just as he has done in the past. In the recent Austria Sprint race, Perez only managed to earn a single point.
