Pierre Gasly of the Alpine F1 Team A524 participated in the Formula 1 World Championship, Rd 2, Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Practice Day on 07.03.2024. During the first practice session at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Max Verstappen from Red Bull Racing set the fastest time with a lap of 1:29.659s. Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin was the closest competitor, finishing within two-tenths of Verstappen’s time and splitting the Red Bull drivers, with Sergio Perez in third place. George Russell secured the fourth fastest time, followed by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz from Ferrari. Lando Norris of McLaren claimed the seventh fastest time, narrowly ahead of fellow Briton Lewis Hamilton. Lance Stroll and Alex Albon completed the top ten positions.
