ESPN’s Dan Orlvosky is an unconventional character, and not in a positive manner. The network’s most peculiar personality appeared on a segment of “Get Up” this morning known as “Sat ‘Em Down,” where Jeff Saturday showcases clips of offensive players forcefully pushing their opponents to the ground during blocking. In football, when a player executes a block with such intensity and effectiveness, it is referred to as a “pancake.” Consequently, for today’s edition of “Sat ‘Em Down,” Saturday and his team celebrated by tossing real pancakes.
Orlovsky’s judgment seemed to have momentarily deserted him when he believed it was acceptable to consume pancakes from the ground. Most individuals would simply leave the pancakes on the floor, as consuming anything from the ground is undeniably repulsive. However, Orlovsky’s usual sensibilities must have been absent in that moment. Upon seeing the pancakes on the ground, he interpreted it as a signal for a belated breakfast. Like a wild animal, he approached the video board and snatched one of the pancakes from the floor. The rest of the cast visibly expressed their disgust, likely because they possess a reasonable level of normalcy.
Saturday, a former center for the Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers, should have utilized his skills as an offensive lineman and pancaked Orlovsky for that dreadful decision. Amidst all the commotion, Damien Woody could be heard questioning, “You did it again?” Indeed, this is not the first occasion where Orlovsky has demonstrated to the world that he may have some form of clinical insanity. In a previous appearance on this segment back in January, he committed the exact same act. This behavior raises concerns about his mental state and suggests that he may benefit from consulting a psychiatrist. However, considering his belief that Mac Jones is a genuinely talented quarterback, it should come as no surprise.
