A Las Vegas Raiders player may face severe consequences following a suspected case of driving under the influence (DUI) last week in Las Vegas. Janarius Robinson, a defensive end for the Raiders, was arrested after being found intoxicated in a casino valet area. New information has emerged, revealing that Robinson’s drunken episode also involved an incident where he struck and trapped a woman between two vehicles while attempting to drive away from the Aria valet parking space at 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning, February 6th. Police arrested Robinson on suspicion of DUI.
On Monday, additional details emerged regarding the incident. Police arrived at the Aria Resort & Casino at 7 a.m., where Robinson informed them that he had stopped drinking seven hours prior to getting behind the wheel and hitting the woman. The incident occurred just days before the Super Bowl, which took place at Allegiant Stadium.
The extent of the woman’s injuries has not been disclosed, as she left the scene before the arrival of the police. CBS8 reporter David Charns shared Robinson’s booking photo.
Robinson, who was selected in the fourth round of the draft, has been a member of the Las Vegas Raiders since August 2023. During the previous season, he played in eight games for the Raiders, recording one sack and eight total tackles. Prior to joining Las Vegas, Robinson was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2021 from FSU. He spent a year on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad before joining the Raiders. The team released a statement acknowledging Robinson’s arrest a few hours later.
“The Raiders are aware of an incident involving Janarius Robinson last night. The club is currently gathering more information,” stated the Raiders.
