Do not disturb Auburn football icon Bo Jackson while he is engrossed in watching his Tigers compete. Jackson was spotted at Neville Arena during the Auburn men’s basketball game against South Carolina on Wednesday. In the midst of the conference matchup, a fan noticed Jackson and approached him for a photo opportunity.
Jackson, a former player for the Auburn Tigers, was captured on the field before the 2014 Vizio BCS National Championship Game at the Rose Bowl on January 6, 2014. He can also be seen in action, rushing against Tennessee in a photo taken by Richard Mackson for Sports Illustrated.
Typically, Jackson is quite friendly with fans. However, during the game, the ’85 Heisman winner declined the fan’s request and gestured for them to return to their seat in the student section. This decision may have garnered sympathy for the fan, but for devoted sports enthusiasts, Jackson’s response could be viewed as commendable. He simply wanted to continue watching the game without any distractions.
Unfortunately, no selfie was granted to the eager fan. Now, it’s up to you to decide: was Jackson impolite for rejecting the in-game photo, or was the Auburn student at fault for interrupting the revered Auburn legend?
