Micah Parsons has been a member of the Dallas Cowboys since 2021, and in each of his three seasons with the franchise, the team has achieved enough to secure a spot in the playoffs.
However, Parsons and the Cowboys have been unsuccessful in reaching the NFC Championship in all three of these postseason appearances, so the pass rusher understands that the team still has a lot of work ahead.
During a recent conversation with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Parsons disclosed that he had a conversation with Dallas owner Jerry Jones during the Super Bowl regarding the types of players the team should consider adding to their roster before the next season.
“We had an extensive discussion before the game, discussing the players I believe we should bring in, the players I want to be surrounded by, who I require, and who I wish to be alongside, as well as the future of our team.”
This past season, Parsons and the Cowboys concluded with a 12-5 record, and they secured the NFC East title for the second time in the last three years.
Unfortunately, their playoff journey was cut short when they were defeated in the opening round by the Green Bay Packers.
Dallas has achieved a 12-5 record in each of the last three regular seasons, indicating that they possess the talent necessary for success.
However, for some reason, when it comes to participating in a playoff game, any success they had during the regular season becomes irrelevant.
Could Parsons’ suggestions to Jones assist Dallas in finally overcoming obstacles in 2024, or will the team continue to lose their sense of identity when it’s time to gear up for a postseason matchup again?
