Alex Albon previously discussed how the popular TV series Drive To Survive would create an exciting episode about Daniel Ricciardo’s return to Formula 1 in 2023. Albon, via IMAGO, expressed his thoughts on the upcoming season and how the show’s producers would present the testing session for the 2024 season in a thrilling manner. The highly anticipated first race of the 2024 season is just days away, and fans are eagerly awaiting it. The media streaming company, valued at $252 billion, recently released season six of the widely acclaimed Docuseries for fans to enjoy during the final non-race weekend in Formula 1. The company once again demonstrated how the producers of Drive To Survive would capture the essence of the testing session through a tweet.
According to Albon, Drive To Survive would begin by showcasing a montage of the new cars, helmets, and racing suits for the drivers. The camera would then shift its focus to the incident where a loose drain cover interrupted the second day of testing. The show would then feature various laps and culminate with the opening race. Albon confidently stated these details about the show’s portrayal of the testing session for the 2024 season.
During the first testing session in Bahrain, the Williams driver made bold predictions about the performance of the reigning world champion. The RB20 demonstrated impressive speed, leading to doubts among rival teams about their chances of winning the championship. Albon humorously suggested that Max Verstappen would have a commanding 25-second lead towards the end of the race. Verstappen would then make a pit stop and aim for the fastest lap of the race. Ultimately, Albon claimed that Verstappen would break the lap record for the Bahrain GP.
In addition to discussing the upcoming season, Albon’s move to Ferrari has opened up opportunities for him to join Mercedes in the future. The 27-year-old driver is considered a potential candidate to replace the seven-time world champion at Brackley. Furthermore, Albon was also considered as the top choice for Red Bull Racing in 2026. With these prospects, Albon’s future in Formula 1 looks promising as he may soon drive for one of the top teams in the sport.
