Axel Bassani has joined forces with Alex Lowes to continue their partnership with the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) as they embark on the 2025 WorldSBK campaign alongside Bimota. Bassani, who signed with KRT in 2024 after a successful stint with the Motocorsa Racing Ducati team, has been adjusting to the ZX-10RR this season but has only managed a ninth-place finish as his best result so far. However, the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team project has shown confidence in Bassani, and he has reciprocated by agreeing to terms with the team. Bassani expressed his excitement about the opportunity, stating that it feels like a natural progression in his career. KRT Team Manager Guim Roda praised Bassani’s performance and potential, emphasizing their commitment to providing him with the necessary support to further develop his skills. The team is thrilled about the continuity and expects great things from Bassani in 2025. The addition of Bassani to the team, along with Lowes’ involvement in the new project, is seen as a significant step forward by Steve Guttridge, Race Planning Manager for Kawasaki Motors Europe. Shigemi Tanaka, General Manager of Marketing & Sales Division at Kawasaki Motors, Ltd., also commended Bassani’s contribution, stating that his signing marks an important milestone in the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team project.
